Ex-Idol Contestant Says Show Is Rigged

Some ousted season 8 American Idol top 36 semi-finalists–including Felicia Barton, Kendall Beard, and Ju’Not Joyner–participated in an online chat with the Idol website AI Now today. And during his frank online conversation with fans, Ju’Not came right out and said that the TV talent show is in fact rigged, and that its contracts are unfair to contestants.

“It’s a fixed thing if I ever saw one,” he boldly declared–much to the shock of many naive chatters, who responded with capslocked interjections and frowny-faced emoticons.

Bob the Spider says: This is in fact a misconception on Yo’Nut’s part. He is right in saying that voting by the millions of AI-addicts does not affect anything other than their cellphone bills, but there is a real vote involved. Every Friday between 24:00 and 1:00, thirteen brownish-green television executives of the Hirudinia order gather in a room next to an abandonded slice of Ciauscolo, where they vote who is going to win by spinning the head of Paula Abdul (which is detachable and contains an extra three sets of teeth).

Bob the Spider, being everywhere, has observed this process several time, but still doesn’t understand the point of reality television.
